"......It was like facing death.They stood us in the yard. Suddenly we realised that were surrounded by machine guns. The officer requested that I entertain them at their Christmas party. For the first time in my life, I was able to say 'no'. They did not shoot me. As punishment, they stood me out in the snow. I cannot remember for how long I stood there and then I promised myself, that if I was to survive, I would dedicate my life to dance"
